Prices are per person, in NZD and include 15% GST.
Children
Child rates apply to children aged 12 years and under. All children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Minimum Numbers
We require a minimum of two adults for our shared trips to depart. Maximum group size is 6 guests.

Have the entire boat to yourselves for a more personalised Kaikōura fishing adventure, with plenty of room, hands-on help from Skipper Malcolm and the freedom to enjoy your time on the water at your own pace.

2 Hour Private Charter - NZD $800.00 per charter

Both options are for 1 - 4 guests and include exclusive use of the boat.
All fishing gear, bait and lifejackets are provided, and your catch will be filleted and prepared for you to take home.
Private Family Fishing Trips

A Kaikōura fishing adventure designed especially for families, with plenty of hands-on fishing and the whole boat to yourselves.
Our Private Family Fishing Trip gives 2 adults + up to 4 children aged 12 and under exclusive use of the boat for two hours.
No fishing experience required - just bring the kids and come have some fun!

A fully guided offshore fishing trip with your friendly and experienced Skipper Malcolm.
Get hands-on helping us check the craypots, with the chance to take home a fresh crayfish (subject to regulations and availability).
High-quality fishing gear, including rods, reels, and bait, with electric reels available on request.
Lifejackets for everyone - adults, children, and infants.
Your catch expertly filleted and prepared, ready to take home.
A complimentary Top Catch bucket to carry your fresh haul.
Plus, plenty of great stories and memories to last a lifetime!
What to Bring
Come dressed for the conditions with a windproof/waterproof layer, sunscreen and sunglasses, and bring any refreshments you'd like on board. A camera is always a good idea too!
If you're prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking seasickness medication before your trip. This is available locally from Kaikōura Pharmacy.
For safety on board, we ask guests to use the fishing equipment provided by Top Catch Charters.

Cancellations & Bad Weather
Bad Weather Cancellations & Your Safety
Your safety is our top priority. Weather and sea conditions can change quickly, and if they become unsafe, we reserve the right to cancel or adjust tour times.
In the event of bad weather, we’ll do our best to reschedule your booking. If that’s not possible, we will offer you a full refund.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations within 24 hours of your scheduled departure time are non-refundable.
